Long Island Fresh Hops Festival – Sept. 24

LI Hopes at Plant Connection, 5873 Sound Ave, Riverhead

Have you ever tried beer brewed with fresh hops? Now is your chance! Hops, one of the base ingredients in the beer brewing process, are typically dried in a kiln before use in the brew. Fresh or ‘wet’ hops style beer is brewed with hops freshly picked off the vine. The resulting beer produces bright, delicate, and juicy flavors. Meet the brewmasters to learn more about their process including Long Ireland Beer Co, Greenport Harbor Brewing, Great South Bay Brewery, Ballast Point, Crooked Ladder Brewing Co, and more. Taste the dry hop equivalents alongside the wet hop brews for a truly interactive tasting session. 21+ only.
