Jul Bobby Flay to Host Long Islands East End Taste of Two Forks

Bobby Flay Calls Long Island Home

Long Island’s East End is in for a real treat this Saturday, July 13th.  Bobby Flay, the legendary Iron Chef and TV personality, will be hosting the Third Annual Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, a showcase of great food in an even greater location… Long Island’s East End.  Flay is a longtime supporter of both the North Fork and the Hamptons and looks to showcase his versatile cooking style at Saturday’s event, for all to see.

Bobby Flay wasn’t always the culinary legend that he is today.  Before he became a critically acclaimed chef, restaurant owner, Iron Chef, and an Author, Flay was just one of the many cooks in New York trying to make it at the very young age of 17 years old.  Flash forward to present day, Bobby Flay is now responsible for food creations in more than six of his fine restaurants along with 14 Bobby’s Burger Palaces.  He won’t stop there either, with 4 more locations on the way this year alone, this man’s success is second only to his skill in the kitchen.  His passion for food has spawned 12 cookbooks.  There’s no question that Flay is happy to share the recipes for his favorite dishes.

A local Hampton’s resident, this year, Bobby Flay looks to host Dan’s Taste of Two Forks in order to sample food and wine from all of his East End peers.  This event has become known to all the locals as “THE food and wine event in the Hamptons.”  There reason why is simple.  Visitors from all over the island, as well as the locals, come out to sample restaurant dishes from various restaurants and wine from the many vineyards on the East End.   With such a variety of tastes to choose from, as well as a number of locally sourced ingredients, it’s impossible to resist attending.  Any foodie would be crazy to pass up this opportunity.

For the past two years, Dan’s Taste of Two Forks has been a great success.  Tickets often sell out, proving that this event is one for the community. With that being said, it’s important to note that a portion of ticket proceeds will benefit All For The East End (www.aftee.org).  This organization is dedicated to creating new sources of funding for all the non-for-profit organizations of Long Island’s East End.

Hotel Indigo East End and Bistro 72 are proud to be participating sponsors for this Event.  We hope that all of you will make an effort to learn more about Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, and all of the good work it does to benefit the community and Long Island’s East end.
