Halloween is slowly creeping upon us which means it’s time to enjoy thrills and chills on the North Fork with activities for the whole family that will bring the fear and the fun.

You can’t have Halloween without the perfect pumpkin. The North Fork is home to many pumpkin patches where the whole family can go pumpkin picking and turn them into creative art. Before you get to carving hop on over to Harbes Farms where you have the option of picking pumpkins from any of their three locations in Mattituck, Jamesport or Riverhead.

Another family favorite tradition at Harbes Farms are the corn mazes that give you the opportunity to wind through a series of passageways surrounded by corn stalks as you try to navigate your way to the end. A favorite with the kids, Harbes has a Wizard of Oz maze and The Snoopy Maze in Mattituck and the Robin Hood Corn Maze at the Harbes Orchard.
