Dec Great North Fork Wines to Enjoy This Season or For Your Last Minute Gift Giving!

In the season of holiday parties, dinners and great conversations, nothing compliments the holiday cheer more than a spectacular bottle of wine. Why not give a co-worker, friend or loved one the gift of a great bottle of North Fork wine. Here are three North Fork varieties to help deck the halls.

KONTOKOSTA WINERY BLUM MERLOT 2007, Greenport, Long Island
If you’re looking for a local red with a full body and a delicate taste, this merlot is an excellent choice. It comes from the KontaKosta vineyeard in Greenport known for having a wonderful selection of reds and award winning Sauvignon Blancs.

RAPHAEL VINEYARDS SAUVIGNON BLANC 2014, North Fork, Long Island
Raphael Vineyards’ Sauvignon Blanc 2014 is rated 91 by Wine Advocate, Robert Parker. Anyone would be thrilled to receive this white wine or drink it during a joyous Christmas dinner. Its Dominant aromas and flavors of citrus make this a light refreshing wine. It’s a favorite of Bistro 72 and is currently on tap.

SPARKLING POINTE, BRUT 2011, North Fork, Long Island
Pop the cork! Sparkling wine is great for any occasion; a gathering on the beach, the celebration of a milestone or an event like New Year’s Eve. Sparkling Pointe, a North Fork favorite offers a wonderful blast of bubbly. It’s strikingly crisp on the palate, a lot of complexity is revealed in this toasty and creamy wine. Elegantly structured, delicate floral and mineral notes come to join its vinous expression, a model of harmony.
