Fall is a great time for pumpkin picking on the East End. Take a hayride with the family, sip apple cider, enjoy wine tastings and visit a variety of farms. Here are three farms where you can pick your own pumpkins and enjoy fun-filled activities for the whole family.

Harbes Family Farm
With three locations on the North Fork, which include Mattituck, Jamesport and Riverhead, Harbes farms gives you the option of picking pumpkins from the patch or off the vine. Their Mattituck location is home to their two largest patches and you can experience a corn maze which is fun for the whole family.

Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm
Stakey’s Pumpkin Farm, in Aquebogue, has been around since 1976 and has grown into a 26-acre patch where you can choose from 18 varieties of pumpkins.

Wander the grounds of Krupski Farms to find the right pumpkin. The family-owned and operated farm is another option for pumpkin picking right off the vine and when you are all done, enjoy a hay ride.
