Gail Storm and Mambo Loco left the stage at Hotel Indigo’s Live on the Vine event last weekend to wild applause. Long Island Winterfest 2014 continues this weekend with performances by jazz pianist Alexander Clough as well as Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks. Whether you’re looking for live music, enjoy locally sourced cuisine, or if you’re just looking forward to a night out, be sure to stop by Bistro 72 for the Winterfest Warm Up and Hotel Indigo East End for LIVE AT THE INDIGO.

Alexander Clough is a jazz pianist based out of Brooklyn. Though his focus may be jazz, he can play pretty much any genre from R&B to pop, rock, or even classical. He is a very flexible performer who can accommodate pretty much any musical request. Composition represents yet another of Mr. Clough’s talents; he plays solo, in duets, and in small ensembles. In other words, the man has quite an array of talents, which should please pretty much every generation at Live on the Vine. We’re excited to welcome him to the Winterfest Warm Up this Friday.

Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks will be playing LIVE AT THE INDIGO this Saturday night. Gene Casey has been playing with the Lone Sharks since he moved to Long Island’s East End in 1988. While Casey sings, writes, and plays guitar for the roots rock and roll group, he has quite a bit of talent around him. With Paul Scher on guitar, Tony Palumbo and Joe Lauro on bass, Andy Burton on piano, Brian Sears on sax, and Chris Ripley and Stan Mitchell anchoring the group on drums, one cannot overlook the gifted group. Bayliss Greene of the East Hampton STAR raved about the group in his review of 2008’s “What Happened”—“Mr. Casey has explored the more rewarding corners of country and western music and its progeny and come up with a disc that remains thematically of a piece – love, sex and what the hell goes wrong – while he and the boys change speeds with practically each song in turn.” The group has also had songs featured on the soundtracks of FX Network’s “Justified” and “Sons of Anarchy,” as well as in feature films such as 2012’s “The Tall Man” and 2013’s “Killing Season.”

Whether you’re looking for country, jazz, pop, or rock Hotel Indigo East End is the place to be this weekend, so stop on by and share in some of the best live entertainment Long Island has to offer.
