A Hotel Indigo East End Staple: Live Music
With a location in the heart of Long Island’s East End, Hotel Indigo has worked to become an integral part of the local culture. Through collaboration and partnership with locals and visitors alike, Hotel Indigo has achieved destination status through the inclusion of amenities designed to tell the local story, and enhance the visitor experience. The key component of this “Destination Indigo” culture involves the Hotel’s relationship with local artists and musicians.
Hotel Indigo East End features live music on a weekly basis with local artists like American Idol finalist Leah Laurenti, and Prentiss McNeal, formerly of The Drifters. Participation takes place from Thursday to Sunday, and if you catch us on the right night you may even catch a performance by a Grammy award winning artist like Lauren Kinhan of New York Voices or Paul Simon bassist, Bakithi Kumalo, which always makes for an unforgettable experience. We feature live Jazz, Blues, Rock and mellow Soul indoors and out, both poolside and fireside.
Long Island Winterfest, Jazz On The Vine and Live At The Indigo Weekly Live Music
So why live music? Our Live At The Indigo weekly live entertainment program originated during the Long Island Winterfest, Jazz On The Vine concert series. The perfect excuse to book a winter escape, Long Island Winterfest brings local and world renowned Jazz musicians to Long Island Wine Country, to perform at vineyards, hotels and restaurants over a series of six weekends in February and March of each year. Our vision for participation was to create a series of supper club style Jazz jam sessions each Saturday night of the festival. The Live At The Indigo Jazz jam sessions which were held in our restaurant and lounge, Bistro 72 and subsequently in our Indigo Ballroom, where so popular that we made weekly live music a featured part of our weekly Hotel and Restaurant programming.
