10 May Fine Dining on Long Island: Bistro 72’s New Menu
Last week’s blog post focused on Bistro 72’s locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients. This week we’d like to expand on that by highlighting a few selections from our new menu. Created for both spring and summer dining, our versatile menu will suit all types of appetites. Whether you’re looking for small plates, sandwiches, individual flatbread pizzas, or seasonal entrees, Bistro 72 has a little taste of everything.
Our small plates are perfect for any occasion. Our delicious cheese plate is ideal for drinks with friends, ladies’ night out, a first date, or even a business meeting. This elegant dish features Italian Asiago, Mexican Manchego, French Brie, Danish Bleu, Whiskey Cheddar, flat bread, nuts, and fig compote. Or to satisfy a craving for farm fresh fare, our sliced beef steak tomato salad with gigandes beans, feta cheese crumble, and stuffed grape leaves, drizzled delicately with extra virgin olive oil. Last but certainly not least, our Bourbon Chicken Wings. The tasty combination of blue cheese dipping sauce and cider jicama slaw make this a great selection for a bite to eat during the game on any of our 13 high definition TV’s, either in the lounge or dining room.
Featuring a number of unique dishes, our seasonal entrees will be sure to satisfy any appetite. Dare to be different and order our scrumptious Long Island Duck in a Port wine reduction and orange glaze, accompanied by roasted tri-colored potatoes and local vegetables. Another local favorite is our succulent pan seared Atlantic Sea Scallops. Prepared in a beurre blanc sauce and served with tri-color potatoes and seasonal vegetables, this dish is great for any seafood lover. Finally, we suggest our traditional filet mignon cooked to your liking. This timeless dish comes with a red wine demi-glace and riverhead cauliflower, mashed potatoes, and baby spinach.
