Long Island is never quiet, not even in the winter. There’s tons of Long Island Events in 2015 that are going on, so you’ll never go another boring weekend or night. Whether it’s an actual event or just something to keep you busy, Long Island has it. Indigo East End likes to keep busy too. We’re always looking for fun and exciting Long Island events for 2015! Here are some great things to do!
Winterfest
This is our absolute most favorite thing to do in the winter. Winterfest – Live on the Vine was started in 2006 as partnership between East End Arts, Long Island Wine Council, and Long Island Convention & Visitor’s Bureau with support from Suffolk County. Originally titled Jazz On The Vine, it was the largest Jazz festival on Long Island. Winterfest has now extended their musical genres to blues, country, rock and soul (hence the name Live On The Vine), and so with 6 weeks of musical events, 20 venues, 16 North Fork wineries and a total of 72 show stopping performances, you can expect a wide variety of artists.
Winterfest starts February 20th and ends March 29th. Which means there will be plenty of opportunities to come out for a weekend and enjoy the show. Performances will be held at all the participating locations including North Fork vineyards, Suffolk Theater and other locations.
While the schedule is not yet ready, Indigo East End plans to host nightly shows every weekend. Live at the Indigo takes place in our Ballroom, which will showcase a variety of headliners in a supper club style format. Bistro 72 will also feature live entertainment during dinner on the weekends. So when you’re unwinding from the exciting performances at Winterfest, stop by for drinks and dinner. The music is all weekend long for 6 weeks!

Wine and Spirits Tours
The North Fork of Long Island has plenty vineyards, distilleries and breweries to tour, even in the winter. You could spend all day traveling down Sound Avenue without ever running out of vineyards to visit. At Indigo East End, we offer wine tours and hotel packages. This includes a stay at Hotel Indigo, visiting vineyards of your choice and a car service to the vineyards.
One of our favorite packages is our Spirited Getaway. This package features an overnight stay, and trips to Baiting Hollow Farm & Vineyard, Crooked Ladder Brewery and Long Island Spirits. You get the best of everything in one spirited getaway!

Paint and Sip Party
Hotel Indigo is hosting a Paint and Sip Party on March 6, 2015 in our ballroom. For two hours an instructor will teach you how to create your own painting. No painting experience is required, all the tools are supplied…and your first glass of wine is on us!
