07 Jan Long Island Winterfest 2014 Starting Soon!
The New Year has only just begun, but we already have a great lineup of activities that we’re excited about! We’ve already talked about how wonderful Downtown Riverhead is when we attended Dan’s Papers Best of the Best Party, but it’s so fantastic that it bears repeating. There are always great, local events happening in the Downtown Riverhead area, but even just strolling down East Main Street from shop-to-shop is a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon.
For all of you music lovers out there, we’re excited that Long Island Winterfest 2014 is quickly approaching! On January 17th, the Long Island Winterfest Kickoff Concert will be taking place at The Suffolk Theater (a venue we love), featuring Gene Casey and The Lone Sharks, as well as Mambo Loco with Paul’s Simon’s bassist Bakithi Kumalo. The concert is from 6-9:30pm, and tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door. If you’d like to purchase tickets online, you can do so here. You can also call the box office at (631) 727-4343.
Long Island Winterfest 2014 will officially begin on Friday, February 7th. We’ll be hosting a Long Island Winterfest Warm Up at Bistro 72 that night, featuring April Rain. Come on down for great food, drinks, and tunes to start off the month-long celebration of local artistry. On Saturday, February 8th we’ll be having Mambo Loco performing Live at the Indigo in our Ballroom.
Another event that we’re looking forward to is the Tete de Cuvée at Sparkling Pointe Vineyards and Winery on Saturday, January 25th. From 6-8pm, Sparkling Pointe will be hosting an exclusive tasting of the top sparkling wines and champagnes from around the world as well as from their own signature collection. Louis Roederer, Ace of Spaces, Trump, Veuve Cliquot, Ruinart, and Ridgeview are among the world class wines and champagnes to be featured. Gilles Martin, Sparkling Pointe’s own Winemaker, along with a panel of industry experts will be leading the event. Don’t miss it! Tickets are $115 per person, and reservations are required.
